We do not have any ensuite rooms, therefore all showers and toilets are shared with other guests.
However, we have a sink (washbasin) installed in all the single, twin, and double rooms!

We have a total of 12 shower rooms on the ground floor (6 for male, 6 for female). We also have a bathroom equipped with a bathtub. All shower rooms have a changing room. They are available 24 hours. Hair dryers are available in all private rooms, and in sinks on every floor.

We have a total of 18 toilets throughout the hostel.

We do not have a curfew, but the automatic door at the entrance will close at midnight for security purposes. Please scan your room keycard at the black scanner installed on the left side of the wall to open the automatic door.
Please be considerate of other guests as well as our neighbors when coming back late at night.

We have free Wi-Fi access throughout the hostel. We also have 3 iMac computers that are free to use 24 hours in our common space!

We have a non-smoking policy indoors. A 30,000yen fine will be charged to any guest who smokes indoors.
If you would like to smoke, please use the outdoor terrace on the 1st floor or on the 3rd floor. It would be great if you could be considerate of neighbors and lower down your noise level after 10pm :)

We have an age restriction for children under the age of 9 in the dormitories. We accept infants and children (age 0-9) in the private rooms (double, twin, and triple rooms). Please keep in mind of each room’s maximum capacity when making reservations.

We provide free coffee and tea in the kitchen area.
You are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks in the bar area!

We have 3 washing machines and dryers in the outdoor terrace. The washer is 200yen(washing powder included), dryer 100yen/30 minutes.

We have lockers in the dormitories to keep your belongings such as laptops and wallets in. They are number-combination lockers, so you won't need to bring any padlocks!

8-mixed/female dorm: 30x25x35(cm)
4-mixed dorm: 30x25x35(cm)

The lockers in the 8-mixed/female dorms and the 4-mixed dorm are smaller since you already have your private luggage space within your bed space :)

Unfortunately, we do not have a parking area. However, there is a public parking lot right next to our hostel.

Parking rate:
Day-time rate (7am-8pm): 200yen/hr (maximum 900yen).
Evening rate (8pm-7am): 100yen/hr (maximum 300yen).

We don't provide any discounts for car parking.

You can check in anytime between 4:00pm and 11:00pm. Please inform us in advance at kyoto@piecehostel.com if you will be arriving later than 11:00pm.

You may check-out any time until 11am. Please leave your room card key in the "keydrop box" located at the front desk upon check out. No further process is required to check out!

You can leave your luggage with us while the front desk is open (8:00am to 11:00pm), free of charge. Please check them in at the front desk, and we will temporarily store them for you. Be sure to be back by the time the front desk closes!
You can enjoy sightseeing to the fullest without carrying your heavy luggage!

Free linens (bed sheets, pillow covers, and towels) will already be provided in all rooms and dormitories when you check-in. We also have free shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in all shower rooms!
We have hairdryers that are free to use in the sink area on all floors, as well as in all of the private rooms!

Bicycle rentals are not currently offered.

We can print out documents for you at 10yen/page (black & white, A4 size). Please email what you want to print out to info@piecehostel.com, and ask one of the staffs to print it out for you. Please pay when you receive the print out.

We would be more than pleased to receive your package for you!

Please keep in mind that we have the following restrictions:
- Please let us know the package arrival date and your check-in date beforehand, so we can be aware that a package is coming. You can let us know by emailing us at info@piecehostel.com.
- We start accepting package 2 days prior to your check-in date.
- If the package is shipped Cash On Delivery, we cannot accept the package.
- If the size of the package is beyond the ordinary (e.g. larger than suitcases), we cannnot accept the package since we have no place to store it.
- We can not deliver the package directly to your rooms, so we ask for guests to come to the front desk to pick up their package.
